Drop-In-Center Mission
In December our church members supplied 75 sack lunches for the homeless at the United Methodist Homeless Drop-In-Center in downtown Wichita. Thank you for your continued support for our ministry to the homeless. They are always very appreciative of the lunches. Our sack lunch days fall on holidays in January and February, so, the next time we will prepare sack lunches will be in March. – Paul Burger
The hot meal will be prepared January 20th. Please consider helping with the preparation and serving of this meal. Dawn Howland would love to have you come help with meal preparations and serving. We will be serving sloppy joes, green beans, chips and cookies. We would greatly appreciate food supplies or cash donations. For more information, please call me at 744-2459. Thank you. – Dawn Howland
Don’t forget to buy your Dillons or Leekers Food Certificates. Thank you for your continued support of this program.
Please continue to bring your aluminum cans to the church for mission. The small building west of the garage is the place to put your bags of cans. Over $80 was received from the last trip to take the cans. Thank you Gary Miller for helping!
The first Sunday of the month is Food Pantry Sunday. Please remember to bring canned foods, packaged foods, paper products, baby food and diapers, etc. Let’s keep our food pantry stocked to help those in need. Surplus is taken to the United Methodist Open Door Food Ministry.
